Dear NZ Veterans, well we certainly had an emotional but memorable service yesterday at the Church of Te Wairua Tapu and thank you to our guests: James Brown, State President RSL NSW (and daughter Alice) and sub-Mariner David Williams, Indigenous Veterans Representative for taking time from your extremely busy lives and other commitments to be with us at our annual Service of Remembrance during this Centenary of ANZAC period 2014-2018.
Thank you also to Archdeacon Kaio Karipa for again allowing us to use your Church for our service, a service that has been going for in excess of 16 years thanks to NZ Vietnam Veteran Clarence Ormsby.
Thank you also to our two WWII Veterans: 96 year old NZ WWII (Egypt/Italy) Veteran 279154 Capt (Red) Bruce Harris and 92 year old NZ WWII (Bougainville/Guadalcanal/Korea) Veteran 439873 Ken Frank for attending. It is always great to see you at our events, services and commemorations.
Incidentally, Bruce was presented his Certificate of Appreciation and Lapel Badge at the service by James Brown.
Finally, thank you to the Church of Te Wairua Tapu Fellowship and the community for your incredible support to us every year.
We Will Always Remember Them
Lest We Forget
