Dear NZ Veterans, today like all our Veterans residing in Australia on this day of remembrance, a few of us attended the Remembrance Day service at the Sydney Cenotaph.
It was a very moving and well attended service not only remembering our ANZAC Fallen but also acknowledging the service of others, in this instance, Wal Scott-Smith, Chief Superintendent, Martin Place Cenotaph, who has been managing the Cenotaph for the last 70 years.
It was very nice to again meet James Brown, State President, RSL NSW and as you can see from the Photo’s, Dr Allan Watt, President NZ RSL sub-Branch was able to tell the NZ story to the media.
Thank you everyone for your attendance, support and camaraderie as we remember our fallen.
We look forward to seeing you at our NZ Veteran annual Centenary of ANZAC Service of Remembrance at the Church of Te Wairua Tapu, 587 Elizabeth Street, Redfern tomorrow.
Just a reminder, James Brown is our Guest Speaker and he will be accompanied by his 14 month old daughter.
Lest We Forget
